Welcome BACK!

September 1, 2015

Greetings King High School Family,

I want to begin by thanking you for letting me join the King community.  I have quickly learned what a special place it is and how committed our staff is to making sure our students graduate and have a plan for their lives after graduation. The small class size, credit earning flexibility, and overall emotional and academic support cannot be matched.

After being raised in Davis, I attended Chico State University where I studied Social Sciences and played basketball. Upon graduation, I attended Sacramento State University where I earned my teaching credential. I taught English and US History for 7 years before returning to school to earn my administrative credential. I have worked as an administrator in Woodland and Davis for the past 15 years. I have three children (a daughter in high school, a daughter in middle school, and a son in elementary school.) I currently live in Folsom but enjoy returning to my hometown each day. Davis will always be HOME to me.

I was very pleased to see how many students were on time and present for our first and second day of school!  Students shared some of their personal goals and wrote a letter to their future selves. We will continue to get to know your student and support him/her in any way possible. Please know that you are an important part of the support team and we value the partnership. Please call me or e-mail me if you have any questions or concerns throughout the year.

“Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.”
